Quentin Wilson Talks to asrecommended

Quentin Willson the celebrity TV presenter, journalist and motoring expert talks to asrecommended about his life and cars.

How did you go from studying English to selling Ferraris and Maserati’s?
I studied English at Leicester and back then if you wanted to be important you had to have a car, so I bought an Austin Healy Frogeye for £50 and later sold it for £150. It grew naturally from there and by the end of university I sold a Jaguar e-type for £1,500 that I had bought for £750. It certainly funded an intense nightlife and the girls loved it!

Vicki Butler Henderson Talks to asrecommended

VBH - Vicki Butler-Henderson the celebrity TV presenter, motoring expert and racing driver talks to asrecommended about her life and cars.
How did you first get into cars?
VBH: My father used to be in the British Karting team so it was natural that I got a kart too, except it was powered by an engine from a lawn mower. But it gave me the appetite to go faster and at 12 I started racing, then by 17 I had become a racing instructor at Silverstone. Fun though it was I needed to begin a ‘serious’ career and took my first job as editorial assistant at a magazine called Car Mechanics. The magazine sent me on an editorial course at the popular Max Power magazine and I was subsequently offered a promotion as Staff Writer for the magazine and then road tester for Auto Express and What Car? This ultimately led to a phone call from Top Gear saying they were after the female appeal.
